Jos Buttler, who is injured, is "progressing well" ahead of Pakistan's match against England.
The limited-overs captain of England, Jos Buttler, says he is making good progress in his recovery from a calf injury but won't rush to be ready for the T20 World Cup, which begins in less than two weeks.
The 32-year-old is now in Pakistan with the England team and is watching the team's seven-match T20 series from the sidelines. He hasn't played since August 18 due to an injury he sustained playing in The Hundred.
Buttler stated to Sky Sports, "I am progressing well. Despite the fact that playing would be beneficial, we are exercising caution in light of the upcoming World Cup.
"I am consuming a couple of beers, increasing my workload, and feeling great. I believe I could play if there was a World Cup match tomorrow, but I'm being a little careful and going a little more slowly. I could play if I had to.
Australia hosts the World Cup from October 16 to November 13.
