Eva Mendes clarifies that she has stopped acting.
Regarding the reports that she has permanently stopped acting, Eva Mendes finally said out.
On Friday, October 7, Mendes, 48, shared a video on Instagram in which she disputed many articles from various newspapers that purported to explain why she "left acting." She added, "I never quit," and stated that the article's goal was to "change that narrative."
She stated in her Instagram post, "I never stopped acting. "I wanted to spend more time with my children at home than performing would allow, fortunately," she said.
The actress added that after working on the film Lost River in 2014, she was unimpressed by the "stereotypical roles" that were being given to her.
The stereotyped roles that were being given to me at the time also didn't interest me. especially after working on the ideal project, the movie LOST RIVER. That's a hard act to follow, Mendes continued. "What's the purpose of this article? to change that story. I never gave up. ([heart] emoji)
Mendes last appeared in the movie Lost River, in which she co-starred in with her longtime love and husband, Ryan Gosling, 41. During the production of their 2011 movie The Place Beyond the Pines, the pair first got to know one another. Now, they have two daughters together: 8, Esmeralda Amada Amada Lee, 6, and.
Mendes has said that she would be open to making a comeback to the big screen, but only for a particular kind of movie.
"I only have a limited list of things I want to do. Like before having children, if it was a fun project, I was kind of game for anything. But as of right now, I won't engage in violence, sexuality, or any of the other things on the shortlist.
