According to Prince Joachim, the Queen is attempting to "injure" his children through modernity.
Prince Joachim, the second son of Queen Margarethe, is concerned about his children's future.
The Danish royal and his wife Princess Marie spoke with the magazine B.T. about their sadness over the monarch's decision to give his offspring a new look.
Princess Marie spoke about her "difficult" connection with the Queen and her heir "That is a valid query. Having some damaged children is hardly what I would consider modern."
This follows the monarch's decision to remove the titles "Prince" and "Princess" from the offspring of the spouse.
Added Prince Joachim: "The truth must remain that, whether you trim down or modernize, it must be done appropriately. It has to do with kids. Children and organization. It's a pretty serious issue."
The pair swears fealty to the Danish royal family regardless of their choice.
Observed Princess Marie: "We have never questioned it in the past. I hope that's not in question."
